Chelsea Greenwald, CD (DTI) CLC
I found my passion for Doula work and helping other families after the birth of my second child in 2007. With the realization of how challenging and empowering birth and motherhood can be, I wanted to use my knowledge and experiences to help educate and guide families during this amazing transition. My aim was to give families the support I felt I was lacking, or wasn't able to ask for.
With an extensive background in yoga, I try to bring a calm, focused presence to all my client interactions. I certified with DONA (Doulas of North America) as a Postpartum Doula and worked with hundreds of families in Michigan teaching prenatal yoga and educating and assisting families during the newborn days. After returning to my roots in Austin in 2013, I certified with DTI (Doula Trainings International) as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. I am also a Certified Lactation Counselor (Healthy Children’s Center for Breastfeeding), a StillBirthday certified Doula, and a HypnoBirthing® Instructor.
I also volunteer with the Pregnancy & Postpartum Health Alliance of TX (PPHA) and have further specialization in infant massage, CPR, cloth diapering, and baby wearing. My ultimate goal is to provide all-encompassing support (physically, mentally, and emotionally) for birthing individuals and their partners.

"We had the pleasure of stumbling across one of the best doulas in all of Austin! My husband I had interviewed quite a lot of people and just hadn't found someone who we felt was knowledgable, confident, soothing nor someone we really had a connection with. Enter CHELSEA. We felt like she was our best friend, we'd known her all our lives... She became family. She brought out so many different types of tools (rebozo, squats, breathing, etc.) tricks of the trade and her lovely sense of humor to keep us going during the rough patches. There were times when I didn't know what to do next- she asked for us to have time to discuss without the doctors present so we could stick to our plan or find a way to veer back to it. I needed that. I needed her knowledge and strength too. Thanks to CHELSEA my first birth experience was amazing; I might even say magical. She's checked in on us so many times afterwards. We are so very thankful for her. We seriously couldn't have asked for a better experience. Dare I say, I can't wait to get pregnant again and have her by my side."
